Funeral Services for Nancy Lucas, 44, Butler resident will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Butler Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Terry Beals. Visitation will be held 10:00 A. M. Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Church until Service time. Nancy Vera Lucas was born May 7, 1971 Ron Elton Gass and Patricia Maxine (Bennett) Gass in Syracuse, Kansas and passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in her Butler home. She was raised in Syracuse, KS and attended and graduated school there. She was in food service working in restaurants and did bookkeeping for Miguel Dairy Service. She had moved to Nevada for a short time and settled in Butler in 2004. She was well known for her good cooking and loved to cook for large numbers of people. She opened the Round Up Café in Butler in 2007 and operated it until her death. She was preceded in death by her mother, She was a member of the Syracuse, KS Methodist Church, she was very involved in her children's sporting events and loved watching and supporting the Arapaho/Butler Basketball, she liked to watch PBR Bull Riding, and she enjoyed doing Geocaching. She was also well known for doing for others and her generosity. She is survived by her husband, Clifford, of the home; her four children, Allison Gass, Noelle Gass, and Rollie Lucas, all of Butler and Tyler Lucas, (U.S. Marine Corps), Okinawa, Japan; her father, Ron Gass, of Butler; two brothers, Rick Gass and his wife, Tammy, of Cleburne, TX and Randy Gass, of Butler. She is also survived by three nephews, Austin, Nicholas and Colton.
