Nathan Martin Standingwater

Funeral Services for Nathan Standingwater, 67, Hammon resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in the Community Fellowship church in Hammon, OK, officiated by Rev. Delfred Whitecrow, and Rev. Dolen Ivey. Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Mennonite cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A wake service will be held 7:00 P.M., till 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the Hammon Indian Emergency Resource Center. Nathan Martin Standingwater was born October 8, 1954, to Woodrow Standingwater and Helen (Whiteman) Standingwater in Clinton, OK and passed away Thursday May 25, 2022, in the Clinton Therapy and Rehab Center in Clinton, OK. Mr. Standingwater was raised in Hammon and attended Hammon schools graduating in 1972. He was a lifetime resident of Hammon and worked in the Oilfield as a pipe inspector. He was a member of the Hammon Indian Mennonite Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, listening to music and hanging out with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Leona Standingwater-Stepp, and Sharon Standingwater-Byrd and a nephew, Randall Jenkins, two granddaughters. Amber Lynn Youngbull and Amber Lynn Candy, grandson, Corey Martin Youngbull, Niece, Karen Standingater, and nephew Darryl “Dondi” Byrd. He is survived by four daughters, DeAnna Davis, Elk City, OK, Tammi Candy, Elk City OK, Brenda Byrd, Hammon, OK and Janell Byrd, Hammon, OK, five sons, Chester Whiteman, Geary, OK, Terry Byrd, William “BJ” Stepp, Wilson Standingwater, all of Hammon, Denny Standingwater, Canton: two sisters, Ruby Standingwater, and Margie Pewo both of Hammon, OK and two brothers, Leland Standingwater, Hammon, OK and Denny Standingwater, Canton, OK.
