Nellie Penn-Whiteskunk

Services for Nellie Penn-Whitskunk will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday August 27, 2020 at the Hammon Indian Cemetery and under the Direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Nellie was born June 19, 1949 in the Clinton Indian Hospital to Jones “Ed” and Mary (Elk River) Whiteskunk Sr. and passed away August 23, 2020 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Nellie was raised in Hammon and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy. She was a member of the El Reno Indian Baptist Church, and use to work for the tribal schools in the 70s. Growing up Nellie excelled at basketball, and softball. She was a song leader at church, and always went to the state tournament to route on Hammon and Riverside Academy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Ryan Foster. She is survived by a daughter Dacia Penn, two sons Derek Foster and Sean Penn all of the home, four sisters Rose Jessepe of Kansas, Carrol Whiteskunk of Weatherford, Clarice Jacket of Colorado, Mary Whiteskunk of Weatherford, a brother Roy Bison of Canada, four grandchildren Emily Foster, Derek Foster Jr., Darius Foster, Danielle Foster, and 2 great grandchildren.
