Funeral Services for Nettie Long, 73, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 4, 2017 in the Custer Ave. Church of Christ, officiated by Brother Roy Montgomery and Brother Larry Cato. Burial conclude in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Nettie Long was born on July 22, 1944, to Stencle and Nancy (McNac) Fields in Henrietta, Oklahoma and passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, in her Clinton home. Nettie was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, attending school there, moved to Oklahoma City to attend Nursing School. After Nursing School, Nettie moved to Clinton, marrying Louis Long on February 17, 1960, making Clinton their forever home. Nettie worked at the VA Center in Clinton as a Nurse for 13 years. She was a member of the SE Church of Christ in Clinton. Nettie enjoyed cooking, family crocheting, junking, and traveling to Tulsa to see her sister and niece. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson Deryk Long, two great grandsons Latrell Lee Lister and Dammarrion Jamell Grishom. She is survived by her daughters; Velma Miles and Lori Long, both of Clinton, four sons; Lewis Long Jr, Elk City, OK, Jerry Long, Texas, Deryk Long and wife Tammy, Clinton, and Marcus Long, Sayre, OK. Nettie is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
