DENVER CITY……Funeral Services for Nina Pearl Krewall Vogt, 86, of Denver City, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 14, 2022, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Streun officiating and music graciously provided by Randy Butler under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Tentative graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 16, in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery in Corn, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Tim Sandy officiating and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton, OK. Nina passed away at home on Monday, July 11, 2022, in Denver City, TX. Nina was born June 8, 1936, in Cordell, OK, to Harry and Martha Krewall. She married J. Arnold Vogt on July 18, 1954, in Corn, OK. Nina earned her Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and began her Doctoral Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She was a teacher for Denver City ISD for many years where she taught Model Office/Business, Health, and PE until she retired in 1998. Nina was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denver City. In 1993, she was named Denver City Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen of the Year. She also started the Girls’ Little Dribbler program and invested many years in youth softball. Nina was preceded in death by her parents. Nina is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, J. Arnold Vogt of Denver City, two daughters, Audra Hooker, and her husband, Shannon, of Midland, TX, Tiffany Telesca and her husband, Ben, of Alpine, TX, a son, Jason Vogt, of Denver City, TX, along with five grandchildren, Savannah Hooker Stewart and husband, Sean, of Brazoria, TX, Dane Hooker and wife, Katie, of Midland, TX, Barkley Hooker, of Houston, TX, Tristan Telesca, of Bremerton, WA, currently deployed on the USS Seawolf Submarine, Alexander Telesca, of Lawrence, KS, and five great-grandchildren, Weston Stewart, Bronson Stewart, Landon Stewart, Madelyn Hooker, and Jack Shannon Hooker. The family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to Home Hospice of Andrews for their exceptional care, dedication, and the love shown for Nina for the past nine months. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 9:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Denver City, TX.
