Norman Lister

Funeral Services for Norman Lister, 60, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Bethany Baptist church, officiated by Rev. Billy Mucker and Pastor Joe Jefferson. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kieasu-Lee Funeral Home. Norman Edward Lister, Jr. was born October 19, 1953 to Norman Lister and Verdell Lister-Barker in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in his Clinton home. Norman was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1971. He soon enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in 1975. He met his future bride, Leola Shelton, in Oceanside, California in 1980. To this union two sons were born, Marcus and Robert. They married on July 17, 1991 and celebrated 34 years together until God called him home. Norman worked at a variety of jobs in Memphis, TN and when he made his home back in Clinton he was employed by Mars Pet Care and was employed there until his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman E. Lister, Sr., step father, Elmer Barker, sister, Irene Barker Ramsey and a brother in law, Oscar Heeras. He is survived by his wife, Leloa Lister, of the home; his mother, Verdell Barker, of Clinton; his daughter, Teko Dickson, of Oklahoma City his sons, Marcus and Robert, brothers, Calvin Lister and wife Patricia, of Hot Springs, AR, Mitchell Lister and wife, Lovie and Lonnie Lister and wife, Cody, all of Clinton, Melton Lister, of Enid and three sisters, Valerie and husband, Lloyd, of Phoenix, AZ and Arzella and Valerie Michelle of Clinton, three uncles, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly miss him.
