Funeral Services for O. B. "Coon Dog" Williams, 90, long time Clinton resident will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Jeff McDowell and burial will follow in the Lawn view Cemetery in Cordell, OK under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. O. B. Williams was born August 15, 1923 to Omus B. and Molly "Edith" (McNiece) Williams in Maysville, OK and passed away late Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton. O.B. came to Western Oklahoma at a young age and attended school in Arapaho. He started his working career at White's Automotive, Collier & Walton Wholesale Company and Hoffman Furniture. He was married to Beulah (Dorsey) Roberts in November of 1960. In 1963 he and Kenneth Snider co-owned and operated William-Snider Furniture Store until 1965. He then opened Williams Furniture Store and owning and managing it until he retired. He concluded a 44 year career in the retail furniture business retiring in 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah, three sisters, Lois Cranford, Trelva Bailey, and LeotaShackleton and two brothers, Ralph Williams and Billy Williams and a grandson, Allen "Pete" Wynn. He is survived by three daughters, Dolores Wynn McGuire and husband, Wilson, of Edmond, OK, Ercie Gayle Hutzel of Edmond, OK and Sharon Meacham and husband, Randy, of Clinton, a sister Nelda Ruth Horton, Vancouver, WA; a nephew, Randy Cranford and wife, Karen, of Ponca City, OK; a cousin Glenda (Botchlet) Hand and husband, Lonnie, of Clinton, cousin Treva (Williams) Smith and husband Leroy, Smithfield, NC, a cousin Cheryl (Botchlet) Owensby of Van Cleave, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.
