Funeral services for Opal Sellers Mason, 84, have been set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in the First Baptist Church Chapel, 900 Frisco, Clinton. Oklahoma. Officiating will be Terrill Mitchell and Chris Justice. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton. Opal was born May 17, 1928 in Texas to C.C. Swinney and Mamie (Machen) Swinney and passed away on February 1, 2013 at the Beadles Nursing Home in Alva, Oklahoma. She was raised in the Rush Springs, Oklahoma area and was a graduate of Rush Springs High School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was a cook for a number of years at First Baptist Church, Clinton, for the Wednesday evening meals. She would make yeast rolls every week from scratch. She is survived by her two daughters: Mamie Sprinkle of El Reno, Ok and Laurie Flesher of Hollis, Ok. One sister Ruby Williams of New York, NY and one brother Henry Swinney of Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents: C.C. and Mamie Swinney, both husbands: Howard Sellers and Ted Mason, one daughter, Rebecca Sue Sellers, and 5 older siblings.
