Services for Louise Adams Weaver, 83, Elk City resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jessie Musick. Burial will follow in the Union Hatchett Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ora Louise Adams Weaver was born October 28, 1937 to H.A. “Slim” Allison and May Rebecca (Lindsey) Allison in Washita County, OK and passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the Elk City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elk City, OK. Louise was raised and attended school in Foss and Stafford areas. She had a hard life growing up and she was burned severely at the age of 16 years old. She was mixing kerosene and gasoline and spilt it on her clothes. She was putting the gas on the wood burning stove and when she struck the match it caught her pants on fire and she has had to deal with the scars the rest of her life. She worked in the cotton fields with her family and later she worked in food service at the local bus station and the dietary department in the Clinton Hospital for many years as well as other food service locations. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing; deer hunting and she loved the outdoors and would camp out for weeks at time. She loved to travel until her eyesight failed and she loved to play games like dominoes and moon. She was a member and was baptized in the Assembly of God Church in Cordell, OK. She loved children, but never had any of her own, so she spoiled many of her nieces, nephews and family was very important to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Slim and May Allison, sister, Vera Mather, brother, William “Bill” William Allison; four brothers in law, Harvey Hammer, Harry Derr, Davis Jernigan, Hank Gonzales, three nephews, a niece, a great niece, a great great nephew and her three husbands, Cecile Adams, Sonny Best and Orlando Weaver. She is survived by five sisters, Faye Gonzales, Myrtle Leisure, Mildred Carter, Patsy Jernigan and Shirley Allison two brothers, James Allison and wife, Naomi, Victor Allison an wife, Melissa; sister in law, Mae Allison. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends and will be missed by all.
