Paul Flick

Funeral services for Paul Flick, Jr. 92 longtime Clinton resident and business man, will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, April 6th in the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, officiated by Doyle Kinney and Roland Youngberg and burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Paul Flick was born Nov. 2, 1920 to Paul and Lona (Trent) Flick in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday April 3, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma. Paul was raised in Hammon and graduated from Hammon High School. While there, he served as class president in 1938. He continued his education at Southwestern State College and the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a general engineering degree. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma he attended officer training school at Yale University in Connecticut. He was in the Army Air Corps from June of 1943 to Oct 1946. Paul worked for Standard Oil Company for a few years before returning to Clinton. He married Dottie Blunck on June 16, 1941 in Clinton.They were married for 65 years and began dating five years before that. Paul grew up in Hammon, Oklahoma and would hitchhike to Clinton to see Dottie on weekends. They made their home in Clinton where they were both involved in the family business, Blunck Studio. He served as president for Blunck Studios, Inc. for many years. He has been helping the Blunck family create memories by photographing all over Oklahoma and Texas. They now have studios in Clinton, Moore, Lawton, and Amarillo, TXand Plano, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lona(Trent) Flick; Dottie V. (Blunck) Flick, wife of 65 years; a daughter, Patricia Lynn (Flick) Kirk and son-in-law, Ron Kirk and grandson, Samuel Kirk; daughter-in-law Sharon Flick; sister, Ilene Fesmire; brother-in-law DennieFesmire, and son-in-law William Krebbs. He is survived by 2 sons Gerald Paul Flick, Lexington and Denny Flick and wife, Norene, Norman; 1 daughter, Dottie Lee Krebbs , Eufaula; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Paul had been active in the First United Methodist Churches in both Clinton and Moore. He also enjoyed traveling and he loved to golf. He was a lifetime member of the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma and served as president of this organization from 1961-1962.He was a charter member of the SWOSU Foundation Board which was started in 1977 and served on the board for 26 years until 2003. Paul was an avid lover of OU Football. He was a season ticket holder and attended all home games until his health started to fail but continued to support the university through scholarship funding. He also enjoyed having coffee, with several close friends, on a daily basis. Catching up on all of the latest news was the highlight of the day. Paul was more than just a business man and boss. He was someone who cared about each and every one of his employees. He hosted many parties and outings through-out the years honoring his employees and friends. He would greet you with a smile and always inquired about how you were doing. His door was always open to anyone in need. Not only was Paul an exceptional business man, he too was a man of God. His faith in Christ our Father showed through in everything he did. He carried his faith with him daily throughout his business and his personal life. The memories that he created has been instilled in each and every one of us. Even though he will be dearly missed, his legacy will live on in each and every one of our lives.
