Funeral Services for Paul Pope, 96, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dean Derieg . Burial will follow in the Shirley Cemetery near Leedey, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Paul Lee Pope was born March 21, 1920 to Zachary and Clara (Baker) Pope in Prairie County, Arkansas and passed away, Monday, September 26, 2016 in the Alliance Health Clinton. Mr. Pope was raised in Arkansas and Custer City, OK. He was married to Vera Dawson on September 21, 1940 in Independence, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death in 1999. Paul served in the U.S Army during WW II and spent a stint in Germany. He was honorably discharged the 13th of February 1946 at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He then returned to Oklahoma, living in Clinton and worked for the Acme Brick Plant and then he retired from the Cotton Oil Mill after almost 50 years of service to them. He is survived by his daughter Patty Sue Hileman and her husband, Joe, Cordell, OK and sister, Evelyn Glasscock, Hobart, Oklahoma, brother in law Bill Dawson and his wife Phyllis, sister in law, Kit Powers. He is also survived by a grandson, Michael Lee Hileman and his wife, Sue and two great-grandchildren, Leanne Hileman and Trevor Hileman and numerous nieces and nephews.
