Graveside Service for Paula Ruth (Walton) Jantz, 87, will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday November 6, 2019 at the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home with John Cullison officiating. Paula Ruth Walton Jantz was born 6 February 1932 and died at home 1 November 2019. This “Dust Bowl” daughter of Paul and Juliana Helton Walton had resilience and toughness. She was a special sister to William G., James R. and Nancy Ann. After graduating from Clinton High School in 1950 she married the love of her life, Raymond Lloyd Jantz on August 25 of the same year. Daughter Julia Ann (Julie) and son Robert Paul (Rob) were born in ‘52 & ’54. Ruthie and Raymond were busy raising a family and making a living. Ruthie’s first job was as a bank teller at the Oklahoma National Bank in Clinton. She went on to become the first female district manger of a Texaco Trading and Transportation Division. After retirement, the couple moved back to Clinton, OK and had time to work on projects together like gardening and updating their home. Ruthie also rediscovered her love, painting. Most importantly, Ruthie and Raymond had the time to enjoy their children and grands. What a pair those two were for 57 years. After Raymond passed away in 2008, Ruthie remained strong and focused on her family and friends and continued to develop her painting talent. Most of her family and numerous friends have one or two signed paintings by which to remember her. She is survived by her two children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Throughout her life, Ruthie continued to develop new friendships, nourish old friendships and to be a significant figure in her growing family. She treasured her lifelong friends from high school, her former co-workers and the new neighbors and friends that provided support and caring, especially in the last few years. You all know who you are. Thank you to Alliance Home Health and Faith Hospice. In lieu of flowers, honor Ruth with a donation to the American Lung Association.
