Memorial Services for Peggy Speaks, 90, Clinton resident will be held 2:00P.M., Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Daniel Mosburg and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Peggy June Speaks was born June 25, 1925 to Milon H. Garber and Lela H. (Whittier) Garber in Otis Orchards, Washington and passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 in the Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, OK. Peggy was raised in Bainbridge Island, Washington off the coast of Seattle. She attended Bainbridge School but did not get to graduate. Her senior year was during the War and all the teachers left to get defense jobs and no one left to teach. While in school she loved sports and achieved in basketball. She married Edison L. Davis in 1941 in Dothan, Alabama and together they had five children. She later married George E. Speaks on February 16, 1974 in Roy Washington. They had met in the Nalley's and he was her boss. They enjoyed being together, traveling and spending time with family. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Kay Davis Kennedy Long, two grandson, William Brian Eddy and Richard Wayne Eddy, great granddaughter, Micah Janae, and her parents. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Eddy and husband Irvin, of Custer City, OK, Penny Lockhart and husband, Bob of Clinton, Oklahoma and Sandra Perreault and husband William of Genoa, Nebraska, a son, Terry Davis and wife Roxanna of Olympia, Washington. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Kathy Valentine and husband Forrest, Michael Eddy and wife Sheila, Michael Davis, Michael Kennedy, Christian Kennedy, Robert Lockhart, III, Kelly Lockhart, Sandra Scheffler and husband, Greg, Jonathan Hall an wife Denise and Angel Tieke and husband Daniel and Julia Perreault and numerous great grandchildren.
