Funeral Services for R.C. Byrd, 23, Clinton man, will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 23, 2016 in the First Christian Church officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will conclude in the Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Roger Colten Byrd was born May 25, 1992 to Bob Brent Byrd and Amy Dawn (Snider) Byrd in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Arapaho, OK. R.C. as he is known by family and friends was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2011. He began working in the oilfields for a few years and then started his farming career which was his passion. He was a member of the First Christian Church, he enjoyed hunting, spending time with his friends and most of all hanging out with his son, Colt. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Angela Byrd, Great Grandparents, Don and Glenda Lorenz and Weldon and Margery Snider. He is survived by his parents, Brent and Shawna Byrd and Amy and Bobby Avera, all of Clinton, his son, Roger Colt Byrd and the mother of his son, Linley Schmidt, of Dill City; sister, Chelsey Willoughby and husband Jakeb, Clinton, step sister, Dawn Casias and husband, Alex, Burns Flat, Ok and step brother, Tracy Avera and wife, Mariah, Elk City, OK; his paternal grandfather, Bob Byrd, Clinton, maternal grandparents, Roger and Donna Snider, Clinton and Rod and Sharon Raasch, Snyder, OK. He is also survived by numerous other Uncles, Aunts, and numerous cousins. A Trust Fund has been set up for his son, Colt at the Oklahoma Bank and Trust, 600 West Gary Blvd, Clinton, OK 73601.
