Regis (Rex) Leon Dahlin June 19, 1931-January 11, 2021 Regis was born June 19, 1931 to Emil Todd and Mariana (Kosloski) Dahlin in Carbondale Illinois and passed away January 11, 2021 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and had fond memories of visits in the summers to Aunts and Uncles in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He joined the Air Force in November 1950 and served in Korea and later at Vance Air Force Base, Enid Oklahoma. While in Enid he met and married B. Merle Cunningham on Sept 25, 1953. They had three daughters. They went back to Chicago for a short stint then returned to Enid. After the military Regis worked for Champlin’s in the offices until he was hired as a letter carrier by the United States Postal Service. He also worked for Northrop at Vance AFB while working for the postal service. He retired in 1997 from there after 30 years of service but continued to work at Vance on the flight line. Regis lived a simple life and would rather give than spend on himself. Everyone that knew him knew that he was known for his card giving. He never missed a birthday or holiday, sometimes it may have been late but never forgotten. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Ross and her husband James of Magnolia, TX, Catherine (Cathy) Machuca and her husband Raul of Ft. Worth, TX, and Linda Rehder and her husband Billy of Enid, OK. Four grandchildren Jason Ross and his wife Jennifer of Conroe, TX, Alison Ceric and her husband Vedran of Ft. Worth, TX, and Courtney and Jeremy Machuca of Ft. Worth, TX. One great granddaughter Mila Ceric. Three step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service is pending. Remembrances can be shared on this website.
