Funeral Services for Retha McLaughlin, 89 Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday May 23, 2017 in the Broadway Heights Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. George Knapp. Burial will conclude in the Stafford Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Retha Claudeen (Barrick) McLaughlin was born May 12, 1928 to Claude S. and Ida (Burton) In Clinton, OK and passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Cordell Christian Home in Cordell, OK. Retha was raised and attended school in Arapaho. She was married to James W. McLaughlin on September 20, 1948 in Wheeler, TX. They have made their home in the Stafford area and farmed for many years. She was a long time member of the Broadway Heights Baptist Church She was an artist and loved to paint, she enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son, Wesley McLaughlin, grandson, Leslie McLaughlin, four sisters, Florene Carr, Virgie Blankenship, Irene Barrick and Jayne Barrick. She is survived by daughter, Lynda Kauk and husband, Darrel Clinton and son, Allen McLaughlin and wife, Andre, Stafford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan Bailey, Alva, OK, Brannon McLaughlin and wife, Sara OKC, Amber Atchley and husband, Brandon, Clinton, Kayla Cloninger, Gregg Kauk and wife, Rebecca, Chris Kauk and wife Michelle, and Christie Willits and husband, David all of Clinton and granddaughter in law, Stephanie McLaughlin, Jones, OK and 16 great-grandchildren.
