Funeral Services for Ric Rodriquez, 71, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 18, 2022, in the Cornerstone Church officiated by Kenny Garcia and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ricardo “Ric” Ronald Rodriquez was born November 12, 1950, to Julian Rodriquez and Delfina (Gonzalez) Rodriquez in Ganado, TX and after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 13, 2022, in his Clinton home with his loved ones by his side. Ric was raised in El Campo, TX where he also attended his schooling. He had a talent for music and right out of high school had his own Latino band. His band opened concerts for famous Latino bands such as La Sombra in venues as large as Texas stadium. He settled in Clinton and worked for Ed DeLong Pontiac and for the Clinton Hospital doing maintenance. After accepting Jesus as his Savior, he became a traveling evangelist and used his experiences and his music talent to share God’s word. He obtained his credentials through Zion Ministry. He met the love of his life, Robin and they were married on October 21, 2004, in Wheeler, TX. He loved music, playing the guitar, and writing and recording songs together with his wife in English and Spanish. He had two different online social media groups doing evangelistic work and had over 5000 followers worldwide. He was into health fitness and exercising and weightlifting. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Dolly Gonzalez and brother, Vincent Rodriquez. He is survived by his wife, Robin of the home, daughters, Pricilla Szedeli and husband, Steve, Butler and Pam Gary and husband Jim, of Colorado; Sons, David Rodriquez, Houston, TX, Rocky Rodriquez and wife, Crystal, Clinton, Jason Andrews and Wife, Alisha, OKC, OK and Jeremy Andrews and wife, JoVann, Clinton; sisters, Louise Martinez and Stella Martinez and husband, Nat, of El Campo, TX and Eva Aguiar, Louise, Tx and brother Augustine Rodriquez, Austin, TX. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
