On Thursday, May 7, 2020, Richard Dwight Bailey passed away at the age of 70. Richard was born on September 28, 1949 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Jack and Leota Bailey. He was raised in Clinton where he attended school before enlisting in the Army in 1968. He was proud to serve his country for four years during the Vietnam War. On December 12, 1970, he married Emma Davis in Elk City, Oklahoma. They were married for 26 years and remained lifelong friends. Richard was a loving father to Alicia and Josh and "Pa" to Scottie, Mackenzie, Alexis and Jordyn. Richard was a huge fan of all sports, especially OU football and OKC Thunder basketball. He loved bowling, poker and chess, and one of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends. He was baptized in 2008 while holding his brother David's hand, and it was one of the happiest days of his life. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Leota Bailey, his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Martha Davis, his brother, David Bailey and wife Sue, brother-in-law Freddie Davis, and sister-in-law, Dollie Rollings and husband Ronnie. He is survived by his daughter Alicia Noonan and husband Clint, his son and best friend, Joshua Bailey, four grandchildren, Scottie Noonan, Mackenzie Noonan, Alexis Bailey and Jordyn Emmert, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his lifelong friend Emma Mitchell, three sister-in-laws, Patsy Fite and husband Ricky, Donna Carleton and husband Donnie, and Patricia Davis, and several nieces and nephews and countless other family and friends.
