Funeral Services for Richard Smith, 61, Eskridge, Kansas resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 20, 2022, in the Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie, OK officiated by Tammy Evans. Burial will follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Richard Kirk Smith was born May 25, 1921, to Layton Alen Smith and Alberta Lee (Lenaberg) Smith in Mangum, OK and passed away Monday June 6, 2022, in his Eskridge home. He moved to Eskridge, Kansas in 1968 and attended Mission Valley High School and graduated in 1979 and was Valedictorian of his class. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for several years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, he was a coin collector, and he loved his four-legged friend, Rosie. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Jeremy Fritz. He is survived by a daughter, Jenn Dooley and her husband, Nathan and brother, Layton A. Smith, Jr., Omaha, NE.
