Funeral Services for Robert Joe Kupka, 87, Custer County Farmer and Rancher will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Chris Fields. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Robert Joe Kupka was born January 16, 1931 to Fred and Helen (Dodder) Kupka in El Reno, OK and passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 in his Clinton home. Robert Joe was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1949. He attended Oklahoma A&M before returning back to Clinton to farm and ranch. He was married to Lotawanna Rogers on March 25, 1951 in Clinton. He was enlisted into the United States Army in 1956 being stationed in El Paso, TX and serving until 1958. After his honorable discharge he returned to Clinton and continued his farming and ranching. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He was active in the community serving on several boards including Clinton School Board for several years, served as Custer County Assessor for over 12 years, the Midwest Farmers Coop Board and the Custer County Excise Board. He was also a member of the American Legion, chosen to be an American Farmer while in high school FFA and he served on the Board for the Herford Association. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lotawanna, of the home, daughter, Karen Fry and husband, Robert of Clinton, son, Kirk Kupka, Clinton, sister, Helen Louise Fry, Derby, KS. He is survived by four grandchildren, Marc Kupka, Maranda Soderlund, Carrie Shackelford and Ashlee Redinger and 13 great-grandchildren.
