January 11, 1944 - April 4, 2018 Robert "Bob" Nickel, of Cordell, Oklahoma entered his Heavenly home on April 4th, 2018 at the age of 74. Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday April 9th at Herold Mennonite Church, Bessie, Oklahoma with Reverend R. B. Mathis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Bob was born in Clinton, OK on January 11th, 1944 to Edwin and Darlene Nickel of Cordell, OK and grew up on the farm outside of Bessie. He attended school in Flynn, Cordell, and Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno. Bob was in the United States Air Force stationed at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois and served in the Air National Guard in Oklahoma City. Bob married Vicki Maddox on May 10th, 1968. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. He farmed in the Bessie area before obtaining a job with Glasscock Motors in Cordell and later went to work as Assistant Administrator at Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton. For many years he was self-employed as a Computer Programmer writing software for veterinarians and hospitals. Presently, he owned a boat repair shop with his son in Cordell. He enjoyed restoring his '55 Chevy truck, loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid follower of current events because he had a deep desire for continuous learning. He loved watching OKC Thunder with Vicki. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Darlene Nickel, and great-grandson, Creed Maddox Sherrill. Survivors include wife, Vicki, of the home; daughters, Denise Intemann and husband, Robin, of Pampa, TX; DeAnn Coldwell and husband, Paul, of Mustang, OK; son, Darren Nickel and wife, Tracy, of Bessie, OK; granddaughters, Karissa Sherrill and husband, Vance, of Granbury, TX; Kailee Intemann of Amarillo, TX; grandsons, Damon Hart of OKC, OK; Ryan Nickel and wife, April, of Cordell, OK; Logan Nickel of Bessie, OK; great-grandchildren, Crew, Case, and Lola Sherrill of Granbury, TX, one sister, Eleanor Voth and husband, Melvin, of Adair, OK. Viewing hours at Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home are Saturday, April 7 from 8:00 to 8:00 and Sunday, April 8 from
