Ronald Joseph Jefferson

Funeral Services for Joe Jefferson, 69, Clinton evangelist and resident, will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday March 18, 2022, in the Clinton First Baptist Church, officiated by Pastors Lawrence Smoots, Mike Jefferson and Randy Barnett. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ronald Joseph Jefferson was born March 14, 1953, to Clifford and Marie (Smith) Jefferson in Clinton, OK and passed away early Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in his Clinton home surrounded by family. Joe as he is known by family and friends was raised in Clinton where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1971. He began working at the Norbest Turkey Plant. He married Linda Ann Jones on August 26, 1972, in Clinton. He soon began a long career with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company where he retired after 39 years. He worked for the City of Clinton for 10 years, he owned and operated Jefferson Janitorial Services and serviced the U.S. Post Office and the Custer County Court House as well as working for the Clinton Public School Administration Office. He has been active in the True Gospel Tabernacle Church for several years and pastored for the past five years. He was a member of the American Cancer Society and the National Leukemia Society, the Clinton Ministerial Alliance and numerous other organizations. He loved to fish, play with his grandchildren but his passion was the church. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wanda Pitts and two grandchildren, KeonTre Jefferson and Ronald Jefferson, Jr. He is survived by is wife, Linda of the home, three daughters, JoJo Jones and husband, Christopher Dallas, TX, Naeicia Jefferson, Yukon, OK and Minshaque Jefferson, Clinton. OK; son, Eric Jefferson, Tulsa, OK; sister, Diane Fisher, Clinton, three brothers, Clifford Jefferson and wife, Carolyn, OKC, OK, E.L. Jefferson and wife, Linda, Houston, TX and Mike Jefferson and wife Evelyn, of New Jersey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Louis Bolden, Julian Bolden, Breyden Jones, Auyna Bolden, Jaynicia Simpson, Briana McDonald, C.C. Jefferson, Erica Jefferson, Eric Jefferson, Jr, Elijah Jefferson and one greatgrandchild, Chandler McDonald.
