Rosa Badillo Ortiz

Chapel Services for Rosa (Badillo) Ortiz, 78, Burns Flat resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the Kiesau memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dean Derieg. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Rosa Badillo was born September 4, 1937 to Gregorio Badillo and Adela (Quintana) Badillo in New Braunfels, Texas and passed away Thursday, October 30, 2015 in the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, OK. Rosa spent her first years of life traveling and moving over the country with her parents as migrate workers. The family worked on farms and in the fields to provide. She was married to Valdemar C. Ortiz in 1953 while living in Arizona. She had made her homes later in life in the Foss and Burns Flat area. She worked in food service and retail sales. She was a member of the Foss Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Rudy Ortiz and Reynaldo Ortiz and three brothers, Tom Badillo, Juan Badillo and Jimmy Badillo. She is survived by two daughters, Velma Powell, Amarillo, TX and Belinda Ortiz, of Minneapolis, Minnesota and 8 sons, David Ortiz, of Dumas, TX, Victor Ortiz, of Stillwater, OK, Valdemar Ortiz, JR., OKC,OK, Robert Ortiz, of Elk City, Richard Ortiz, Dumas, TX, Armando Ortiz, Elk City, OK and Rudolfo Ortiz, Austin, TX; four sisters, Maria Badillo, Clinton, OK, Janie Acuna, Sentinel, Jessie Nunez, Cushing, OK, and Esther Badillo, Clinton, OK and two brothers, Mencho Badillo, Foss, and Gilbert Badillo, OKC. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
