Funeral Services for Leroy Livesay, 79, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Custer Ave. Church of Christ, officiated by Patrick Peters and burial will follow in the Missouri Cemetery, south of Weatherford, under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ruben Leroy Livesay was born July 10, 1934 to Otto Lee Livesay and Ruby (Walton) Livesay in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 in the Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Leroy as most knew him by was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High school in 1951. He continued his education at Southwestern in Weatherford. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Viet Nam War. He retired and was honorably discharged after 20 plus years. He moved to Arkansas for a few years and then back home to Clinton where he settled. He has been in failing health for the past year. He was a member of the Church of Christ; a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a proud member of the Republican Party and campaigned and served when he could. He collected elephants, he enjoyed taking photographs and collecting Classic Cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Leon Livesay. He is survived by a brother, James Livesay and his wife, Dorthy, of Canute, OK, two nephews and a niece.
