Funeral Services for Ruby Jewell Sawatzky, 81, Clinton, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 P.M. May 20, 2019, at the Assembly of God in Arapaho, Oklahoma, Officiated by Pastor Gilbert Johnson, Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery east of Clinton under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ruby Jewell (Fields) Sawatzky was born on July 12, 1938 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Dewey and Martha (Wilkinson) Fields and passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Elk City, OK at the age of 81. Ruby was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1956. She was a faithful member of The Assembly of God Church in Arapaho, Oklahoma. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including her special church family. She married Leon Andrews on June 8, 1958 and they made their home in Clinton. To the union, two children were born, a daughter Karen, and a son Jack. Ruby was a stay at home mom caring for many children throughout the years at her home daycare and worked at the Route 66 Museum after she retired. She later married Delmar Sawatzky on June 14, 2008 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. She is survived by her son Jack Andrews of Clinton, 3 grandsons Jason Andrews of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Andrews of Clinton and Andy Whorton and wife Sarah of Greenville, Texas, a son-in-law Johnny Whorton of Greenville Texas, her nieces, and many cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Martha, her daughter Karen, two brothers, Dee and Jim Fields, and both husbands Leon and Delmar.
