Funeral Services for Ruby Mae Weitner, 91, life time Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the First Church of God, officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs and burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ruby Mae (Harrison) Weitner was born January 21, 1921 to Tony and Lola (Askew) Harrison in Clinton, Oklahoma and she passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital, one day before her 92nd birthday, She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School n 1939 and then continued her education at Keen’s Business College. She was married to Leon Weitner on December 27, 1941. She was employed with the Clinton Daily News as bookkeeper until 1944. She also worked part time for Dr. Frank Nikkel, who was a Clinton Optometrist. She was a lifetime faithful and devoted member of the First Church of God where she had served as children’s Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. She was a volunteer at the Clinton Hospital for numerous years. She was a wonderful cook and was well known for her excellent baked goods. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Emmit and a sister, Willa Belle Hardin. She is survived by her husband of over 71 years, Leon, of the home, daughter, Cheryl Turner and husband, Kenneth, of Anderson, IN, two sons, Gary Weitner and wife, Beverly, of Surprise, AZ and Ron Weitner and wife, Carole of Flower Mound, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephen Turner, of Chesterfield, IN, Sara Turner, of Muncie, IN, Kristi Richards and husband, Aaron, of Surprise, AZ, Sean Weitner and wife, Elizabeth, of Stoughton, WI, Jessica Ballard and husband, Justin, of Springs, CO and Alexis Birkmeyer and husband, Paul, of Berkeley, CA and six great-grandchildren. Ruby Mae was a beautiful, generous, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a precious friend and will be missed more than words can say. The family will greet guest 6:00 P.M., till 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
