Funeral Services for Russell W. Rayner, 80, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Charles Murphy, Sandy Shepherd and son in law, Rev. Richard Deimund. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Russell William Rayner was born September 26, 1935 to Richard Allen Rayner and Blanche Mamie (Russell) Rayner in Arapaho, Oklahoma. He passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Specialty Select Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was raised in Arapaho and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1953. He soon enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955 and served in Korea for about 15 months during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1957 and returned to Clinton. He married Leta Bell Cantrell August 18, 1957 in Putnam, Oklahoma. They made their home in Clinton where he was employed at Puckett's, United Foods, and U.S. Postal Service for over 31 years. He retired and then worked for Westhoma Federal Credit Union for 8 years before retiring again. He farmed and raised cattle for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and National Association of Retired Employees. He enjoyed sports, an avid Oklahoma State University fan and loved being with family. He was selected to be among Who's Who of Business Leaders of America. He is survived by his wife, Leta Bell, of the home, daughter, Marca Deimund and husband, Rev. Richard Deimund, Cimarron, KS, two sons, Wesley Rayner and wife, Karen, Geary, OK and Troy Rayner and wife, Traci, Hobart, OK. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy Deimund and wife, Christina, Aaron Deimund, Ryan Wilcoxson and husband, Brandon, Derrick Rayner, Alysa Rayner, Tatum Rayner and Taysha Rayner and four great grandchildren, Mackenna, Rylee, Landen Deimund and Ella Wilcoxson. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution, may do so the Freewill Baptist Church in Clinton.
