Funeral Services for Ruth Ann Collins, 83, lifelong Butler area resident will be held 2:00 Monday, December 2, 2013 in the Butler Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mike Holman and burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ruth Ann (Burgess) Collins was born November 19, 1930 to Earl and Anna Sophia (Schultz) Burgess in Butler, OK and passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in her Butler home. Mrs. Collins was raised in Butler and graduated from butler High school in 1948. She was soon married to Floyd Gene Collins May 28, 1949 in Wheeler, TX.They made their home in the Butler area where they have farmed together for many years. They have also done custom wheat harvesting; she made the meals and kept the crews fed. She is a member of the Butler Baptist Church and enjoying crocheting and being grandmother to all. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary, two great-grandchildren, John Patrick Collins and Addison Grace Willis, three brothers, Carrol Burgess, Tom Burgess and John Burgess, four sisters, Bernice, Wilhite, Lucille Mackie Eula Mae Bailey and Alice Clayton. She is survived by her husband, Gene, of the home, daughter, Donna Ackley and husband, Chuck, of Clinton, two sons, John Collins and wife Kim, of Sentinel and Bob Collins and wife Doris, of Butler. She is also survived by 12 plus grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Butler Fire Department.
