Funeral Services for Sadie Wells, 80, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jesse Musick and burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Sadie Faye (Welch) Griffin-Wells was born October 31, 1933 to Burl and Trixie (Ragsdale) Welch in Rogers, Arkansas and passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 in the Clinton Regional Hospital. Sadie was raised in Sweetwater and Sayre, OK. She was married to James C. Griffin on July 23, 1948 in Wheeler, TX. They made their homes in Sayre and then moved to Clinton in 1953. She attended Licensed Practical Nursing School at Oklahoma General Hospita in Clinton and graduated in 1973. She worked with Dr. Gary Hays, Methodist Health Care, Grace Living Center, and the Clinton Veterans Center. She later married Chuck Wells in 1993 in Wheeler, TX. She was a member of the Christian Church and her hobby was her life of nursing and caring for others. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, a daughter, Janet Adams and a granddaughter, Samantha Adams. She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Roof and husband, Clifford, of Clinton, Lisa Heinrichs and husband, Damon, of Tuttle and Teresa Huttenmaier and husband, Dan, of Emporia, KS; son-in-law, Arnold Adams, a brother, Earl Welch, of Temple, AZ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, James Ray Adams, Ricky Roof, Tommy Roof, Tiffany Coffey, Stuart Holcomb, Krystal Newman and Morgan Heinrichs and seven great-grandchildren.
