A Mass of Christian Burial for Sally Govea, 84, Cordell resident will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Cordell, Oklahoma officiated by Father Balaswamy and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home The body will be available for viewing starting Monday May 2, 2022. A Rosery will be held 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel in Clinton Oklahoma. Her burial will be held later at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sally Marie Govea, 84, died on April 26, 2022 in Cordell Oklahoma. She was born on July 28, 1937 in Chicago Illinois, to her biological parents James Sewert* and Fern Marie Metz* and raised by her mother and stepfather/adoptive father John Donohue*. Sally has 5 brothers John, Bruce, Tim, James, Richard, and one sister Phillis. Sally graduated from High School in Chicago Illinois. Sally was married to Edmund Govea* in 1956 and started a family. They had 6 children, Paul*, Frances, Katie*, Thomas, Mary and Therese. Sally was the grandmother of Cynthia, Johnathan, Marty, Lisa, Becky Sue, Amanda, Giovanni, Gina Isabella, Branden, Sara, and Valerie. She is also the great grandmother and great-great grandmother to over two dozen children. Sally moved to Albuquerque New Mexico with her children in 1972 and was educated as a Respiratory Therapist and worked as part of the University of New Mexico hospital system. In 2016 she moved to Cordell Oklahoma to live near her one of her children.
