Shyla Denee Brehm

Funeral Services for Shyla (Carr)Brehm, 35, former Arapaho resident, now of Whitesboro, TX will be held 10:00 Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in the First Church of God, officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs. Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Shyla Denee (Carr) Brehm was born January 19, 1979 to Ray Carlton Carr and Rita MarLynn (O'Dell) Carr in Thomas, Oklahoma and passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the Baylor Hospital Emergency Room in Grapevine, TX. Shyla had just returned from a trip to Africa where she had climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. She started to school in Gotebo, Oklahoma and her family moved back to Arapaho in the Second grade. While attended Arapaho Schools she was a star athlete on the Lady Indian Basketball team, member of the senior academic team, president of FHA and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She fell in love and soon married Jason Brehm on July 25, 1998 in Clinton, OK. She continued her education at Redlands College in El Reno, OK and received her Registered Nurses Degree. Shyla and Jason were blessed with the arrival of their first son Carson David Brehm on May 20, 2008 and another son Caden Aaron Brehm on August 16, 2010. She will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, her quick wit, and sense of humor. She loved fast cars and loud music and spending time with her family, especially her sons and her niece, Adrianna. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Boyd and Deloris O'Dell, Uncle David Wayne Carr and her godson, Brent Aaron McGhee. She is survived by her husband, Jason, and two sons, of the home, her parents, Ray and Rita Carr, of Vernon, TX, sisters, Kerrastan Carr Cortez and husband, Gilbert, of Dallas, TX and Kelsey Carr Davis and husband, Jared, of Howe, TX; a niece Adrianna Carr Cortez, of Dallas, TX; her paternal grandparents, W.C. and Lucille Carr of Vernon, TX, Aunt Terrie and Uncle Glenn McGhee, of Wheeler, TX and multitude of other aunts uncles and cousins.
