Steve England

Memorial services for Steve England, 65, former Clinton resident, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 22, 2016, in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Dale Nease and Chaplain Dan Day and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Stephen Lynn England was born March 14, 1950 to Millard Oral England and Joye Golda (Hadley) England in Cordell, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Union, Nebraska. Steve was raised in Cordell and graduated from Cordell High School in 1968. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received his degree in business in 1972. He soon moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where he began working for Myers Linen Service in 1974. Steve along with a partner, Dave Felch, purchased the business in 1982 and renamed it Consumer Textile Corporation. He sold his share of the business in 2009. In 2012, he moved to a lake home at Lake Waconda in Union, NE, where he spent half of the year there and the remainder back in Clinton. He permanently relocated to Nebraska full-time in 2014. Steve was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Independent Textile Rental Association and the Kiwanis Club. Steve loved music, playing the harmonica, watching movies, and collecting military memorabilia. He loved the outdoors, boating, gardening, yardwork, and traveling. He spent numerous hours working on home improvement projects and loved to keep busy. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by significant other, Donna Stewart of Lake Waconda, Union, NE; two daughters, Jami Dawson and husband Bobby, Canute, OK; Kelli Thomas and husband, Jim, Anniston, AL; two sons, Peter Decher, Clinton, and Matt Decher and wife, Heather, Moore, OK; a brother Mike England and wife, Sheri, Cordell, OK. Steve is also survived by four grandchildren, Peyton Dawson, Canute; Austin Cook, Noah Morris, and Levi Decher, all of Moore, OK. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the American Warriors.
