Funeral Services for Steven R. Davis, 63, Putnam resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 10, 2020 in the Putnam’s First Christian Church, officiated by Pastor Denton Walker. Burial will conclude in the Fairview Cemetery in Putnam under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Steven Ryan Davis was born July 17, 1956 to Elvin J. and Juanita M. (Stanley) Davis in Thomas, OK and passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, OK. Steven was raised in Putnam where he attended school until its closing and then he transferred to Taloga High School and graduated in 1974. He spent his early years farming and ranching in the Putnam area as well as constructing houses. He moved to Texarkana in 2005 and worked for Red River Depot as a mechanic until 2018. He returned back home in December 2019. He was a member of the Baptist Church; he enjoyed fishing, messing with old cars and he loved his cattle and dogs. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Melba, of North Carolina, mother, Juanita Davis, Putnam; two sisters, Sandra Davis-Gordon and husband, Danny, OKC, OK and Rita Jane Countess and husband, Kevin, Weatherford and a brother, Mark Davis and wife Teresa, Putnam, OK.
