Terrisa Kay (Sanders) Bates

Funeral Services for Terrisa Bates, 49, former Arapaho resident and now of Shawnee, Ok will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Cheyenne/Arapaho Community building officiated by Roy Dobbs. Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A Traditional all night wake service will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Community Building. Terrisa Kay (Sanders) Bates was born September 5, 1967 in Oklahoma City to Elvis Dwane and Carol (Smelcer) Sanders and passed away March 23, 2017 in the Shawnee home. Terrisa was raised in Clinton and Arapaho area and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1985. She was a Nurse and worked in numerous Medical Facilities all over Western Oklahoma and Shawnee area. She learned screen-printing and did that for over 12 years in McLoud, OK. She was married to James "Sonny" Bates April 6, 2009 in El Reno, OK. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Khristian Blackwolf, Maternal Grandparents, Bill and Jean Smelcer; paternal grandmother, Ruby Rippy. She enjoyed sports and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband, Sonny, of the home; daughter, Krista Blackwolf, McLoud and her husband, Brandon Whiteman; two step daughters, Janie Ann Bates, Okmulgee and Jamie Alyn Fourkiller, Okmulgee, OK; two sons, Conley Blackwolf and his wife, Chelsi, Shawnee and Todd Blackwolf, Shawnee; two step sons, John Arlen Bates, Tanner Glen Bates, Moore, OK, her parents, Elvis and Carol Sanders, Newalla, OK; four sisters, Sheila Worlund and husband, Mark, Shawnee, Dianne Oldcrow and husband, John, McLoud, OK, Victoria Sanders Newalla, Vivian Sanders, Newalla. She is also survived by 13 grand grandchildren.
