Thelma Smith

A Chapel Service for Thelma Smith, 85, Butler resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Holman. Burial will conclude in the Jim Town Cemetery in Jim Town, OK officiated by family members and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Thelma Lee (Herron) Smith was born June 29, 1929 to William and Stella (Brewer) Herron in St. Jo, Texas and passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2015 in her Butler home. Thelma was raised and attended school in St. Jo, Texas. She was married to Robert Lee Smith on February 27, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas. They moved to Butler in 1973 and she has resided there until her passing. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents and three grandchildren, John Patrick Collins, Kyle Mark Holcomb and Ryan Lee Smith; Clifford Herron, LaRanzy Herron, Weldon Herron, Ernest Herron and sisters Oleta McKerchie and Irene Clark. She is survived by six children, Willie L. Smith, Judy Addington and husband, Gene, Frieda Collins, Leveta Crist and her husband, Johnny, Doris Collins and her husband, Bobby and Bev Johnson and her husband, Rick. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
