Funeral Services for Thomas Benton, 58, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 9, 2017 in the Cheyenne & Arapaho Community Building, officiated by Rev. Gerald Panana. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Indian Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A traditional wake service will be held 7:00 till 9:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Clinton Indian Baptist Church. Thomas Wayne Benton was born on October 31, 1959 to Thomas Wayne Reynolds and Mary Jayne Benton in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 in his Clinton residence. He was raised in Oklahoma starting school at Willard Elementary in Oklahoma City, then going to Central Jr. High, and graduating from Riverside Indian School. Thomas moved to New Mexico starting his career in the moving business working for numerous companies, moving back to Clinton, Oklahoma. He married Vivian Benally in 1978. Thomas enjoyed playing chess, reading, and loved to travel. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vivian; two brothers, Lister Ray Benton and Ronnie LeRoy Benton. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Nizhoni Benton, Alburquerque, NM and Kystal Benton, Oklahoma City; three sons, Jeriad Lonewolf Benton, Oklahoma City, Chabon Benton, Ardmore, OK, and Shannon Curtis, Clinton; four brothers, Albert Anuario and Oliver Benton-Whitecrow, both of Clinton, and Lester Benton, and Brandon Benton, both of Seiling, OK. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
