Thomas Dancer

Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas Dancer, 66, local businessman will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in the Custer Ave. Church of Christ, officiated by Patrick Peters and a burial will follow at a later date under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Thomas Edward Dancer was born September 27, 1947 to Edward Leon and Annette (Jones) Dancer in Okolona, MS and passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 in his Clinton, Oklahoma resident. Thomas was raised in Jackson, TN where he graduated from Mary High School in 1965. While in high school he enjoyed music and was in the marching band. He also attended a Vo-tech school and was certified in Auto-mechanics. He began a career with Ramada Inn where he set up restaurants across the country. His travels is what brought him to Clinton, OK in 1979 when his car broke down and he found a new home. He became the manager of the Park Inn Hotel and did that for several years. He eventually owned and operated his own catering business, T.D.'s catering. He was forced to retire in 2006 due to failing health. He was preceded in death by his parents, He was a faithful and active member of the Church of Christ and a past member of the Evening Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home, three daughters, Shawana Byrley and husband, Fred, of Ft. Smouth, AR, Pam Dancer and Michael Bills, of Jackson, TX and Kenya and Brian Sims, of Clinton, OK and two sons, Curtis McCoy and his wife, Ernie, Elk City, OK, Travis Randle and wife, Vanessa, of Clinton, OK; four sisters, Clara Winfred, Littlerock, AR, Lillian Pollard, Milwaukee, WI, Sherron Dancer, Jackson, TN, Annette Dancer, Nashville, TN and three brothes, Shelby Dancer and wife, Joann, Ft. Worth, TX, Larry Dancer and wife, Sarah, Memphis, TN and Andre Dancer, of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 reat-grandchidlren.
