Tolbert Junior Mixon

Funeral Services for Tolbert Junior Mixon,76, Freeport, TX resident and formerly of Clinton will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 2, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jessie Musick. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Tolbert Junior Mixon was born March 3, 1945 to Tolbert W. Mixon and Bonita (Evans) Mixon in Clinton, OK and passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in the Veterans Hospital in Houston, TX. Junior as he is known by family and friends was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. He enlisted in the US. Army on July 24, 1962 and was honorably discharged on January 21, 1964. He returned back to Clinton and married Santana Fuentez on August 3, 1965 in Clinton. He harvested all over the country for several years. He moved to Shawnee, OK in 2012 and settled in Texas in June of 2018. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church; he enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, Bonnie Shephard, Carol Mixon, Barbara Chagolla, Cathrine Two hatchet, two brothers Edward Lee Mixon and an infant brother, Larry Dean Mixon. He is survived by a daughter Sandy Jones and husband, Richard, Freeport, TX; five sons, Daniel Mixon, Mcloud, OK, Felix Chagolla, Burns Flat, OK, Freddy Chagolla, of Oklahoma, Oscar Chagolla, Fowler, KS and Jessie Chagolla, Cordell, OK; two sisters, Christine Miller, and Viola Fuentez, both of Lake Jackson, TX and brother, David Paul Mixon, Springer, OK. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
