Graveside Services for Tulane R. Wilson, 82, Cheyenne Chief and Clinton resident, will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 4, 2021 in the Clinton Indian Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Gerald Panana and Pastor Susan Hart and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A come and go Wake Service will be held 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Tulane Roby Wilson was born May 7, 1938 to Frank and Lucille (Yellow Hawk) Wilson in Clinton, OK and passed away Saturday January 30, 2021 in the River Valley Nursing Home in Clinton, Oklahoma. Tulane was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1956. He attended SIPI in Albuquerque; NM earned a degree in accounting. He returned to Clinton and worked for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Housing Authority for Several years as a deputy director. He was active in the Army Reserve for 26 years. He also worked for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes with the Elderly Nutrition Program for the Elderly and the Head Start Program. He married Juanita “Janie” Fuentez December 18, 1971 in Clinton, OK and she preceded him in death. He was a member of the Koinonia Indian Mennonite Church; he was a proud member and one of the 44 Chiefs of the Cheyenne Tribes of Oklahoma; he was traditional and enjoyed going to the tribal activities and gourd dancing; and enjoyed fishing; loved sports and supporting the Clinton Red Tornadoes. He loved Rock and Roll music and any music by “Red Bone” and he used to play the bass guitar in a band. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janie, sisters and brothers, Everett Wilson, Clifford Wilson, Terry Wilson, Cleo Sipes, Margie Wilson, and Wanda Wilson. He is survived by his daughter Terysa Ray Foss, OK, Ferrell “Gus” Wilson, Clinton, OK, adopted son, Max Julien Watan Jr., Weatherford; sister, Wilma Redbird, Weatherford, Ok Norma Fisher, Clinton, Ok and brother, and three grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Tanner Ray and Paisley Wilson, numerous nieces, and nephews.
