Funeral Services for Ula Lira, 73, Cordell resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in the Emergency Resource Building (ERC) officiated by Pastor Ramus Hicks. Burial will follow in the Clinton Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
A traditional all night wake service will be held 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in the ERC Building.
Ula Glenna (Candy) Lira was born January 29, 1949, to Roy Candy Fire and Ethel (Left Hand) Candy Fire in Canton, OK and passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, in her Cloud Chief home.
Ula was raised in Butler, Hammon, Geary and Watonga areas and she attended school Darlington Boarding School at Concho, OK. She was married to Juan Lira, Jr. on June 1, 1963, and they soon moved to Colorado. They traveled extensively all over to work. She did landscape and yard work in the Clinton area for several years. She was employed for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes Substance Abuse Program for over 15 years.
She was a member of the Pentecostal faith, she enjoyed reading and studying the bible, gardening and working in Flowers. She loved to care for others and take care of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Angela Lira Leija and Jennifer Lira, son, Juan Lora two sisters, Sally Atchley and Vera Candy and two brothers, Douglas Candy, Bob Candy.
She is survived by her husband, Juan, of the home, two daughters, Juanita Lira Anaya, Weatherford, OK and Margarita Lira Nava, Burns Flat, OK.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rebecca Lira, Felecia Lira, Pamela Leija, Vanessa Anaya, Holly Acuna, Deborah Acuna, Carlos Lira and John Michael Leija
