VERA LEE DICK Funeral services for Vera Lee (Reinschmiedt) Dick, age 88, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Clinton, will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Bessie, OK, officiated by Pastor Jerry Lamb. Mrs. Dick died January 8, 2016 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City with her loved ones by her side. She was born September 1, 1927 in Washita County, the daughter of Wilhelm "Bill" and Pauline (Wohl) Reinschmiedt. She grew up in Bessie and graduated from Clinton High School in 1945. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Ervin Dick, on July 11, 1948 at Peace Lutheran Church of Bessie. She was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church of Bessie, where she was baptized and confirmed. She taught school at Guy School in Washita County, worked at TG&Y and Bluncks, but most everyone will remember her as their sweet Avon Lady. She was an Avon representative for 47 years, earning many Presidential Citations and other awards. She most enjoyed being a homemaker and loving mother to their three sons. Vera was preceded in death by Paul, her husband of 60 years; brothers John and his wife Lillian Reinschmiedt, Ruben Reinschmiedt, and Donald Reinschmiedt; sisters Clara Reinschmiedt Ross and her husband Clair L. Ross, Rosa Reinschmiedt Ross, and Edna Reinschmiedt Howard and her husband Don Howard. She was also preceded in death by a nephew Mike Howard, brother-in-law Gentry Moser and sister-in-law Arloene Dick. Survivors include her sons Curtis and wife Sparla of Winfield, KS, Glen and wife Gayla of Oklahoma City, and Doyle and wife Leslie of Greenville, TX. Also, grandchildren Shanna and Chad Jager of Manhattan, KS, Aaron and Lyndsay Dick of Shawnee, KS, Brad and Ashley Dick of Oklahoma City, Michael Dick of Sunnyvale, CA and Lexie Dick of Denton, TX; great grandchildren Madyson and Delany Trujillo, Campbell Jager, Kamden, Kohen, and Kase Dick, Kamryn Rucker and Glendon Dick. She is also survived by her sisters Gladys Reinschmiedt Pankratz and husband Dwayne of Cordell, Lillian Reinschmiedt Neuman and husband John of Northridge, CA, brothers-in-law Cork Ross and Gilbert Dick, sisters-in-law Juanita Reinschmiedt and Viola Moser all of Clinton, sister-in-law Ynez Reinschmiedt of Los Angeles, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton, OK. The family will greet guests on Tuesday, January 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Kiesau-Lee.
