Chapel Services for Vera Waldrop, 77, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Patrick Peters. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Vera Lee (Stermer) Waldrop was born September 10, 1943 to John and Frieda (Bolinger) Stermer in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 in the Midwest City Regional Medical Center in Midwest City, OK. Vera was raised in Bessie and graduated from Cordell High School in 1961. She continued her education at South Western State College in Weatherford majoring in business. She began her career moving to Ft. Supply, OK and working as a bookkeeper. She retuned back to Clinton and worked with the Head Start program, New Horizons and the former Highland Park Manor Nursing Home. In her later years she worked at the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home and Kiesau-Lee Funeral Homes. She recently has been a resident of the Angelwood Living Center. She married Willie Waldrop in 1981 in Bessie, OK; they made Clinton their home. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Lunch Bunch Bible Study Group; she worked with Meals on Wheels and she loved painting and doing crafts with her husband, Willie; her passion was her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Vanieda Vaughn. She is survived by her husband, Willie, of Angelwood Living Center; four sons, Shaun Waldrop and wife, Heather, Mike Waldrop and wife,Debbi, Colony, Pat Waldrop and wife,Dianna, Clinton and Phillip Waldrop and wife, Paula, Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
