Verla Beth Davis Powers

Funeral services for Verla Beth Davis Powers, 59 of Arapaho, have been set for 10 A.M. Monday, December 7, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Arapaho, Loyd Hall, and Van Leonard will be officiating. Services will be under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, and burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery. Verla was born May 15, 1956 in Sentinal, Oklahoma, to Virgil Neal, and Viola J. (Shockey) Smith, and passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in her home in Arapaho. Verla was raised in Clinton, and graduated from Clinton High School in 1975. She married Leon Powers in October of 1993, in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker, and loved sewing, quilting, fishing, and especially hanging out with her kids. She was preceded in death by both parents, and her husband. She was survived by her daughter, Lori Beth Murphy, of Arapaho, her son Adam Bieberich, of Clinton, her step son James Davis, of Arapaho, 3 Sisters Velda Jo Sams, of West Virginia, Vonna Sue Phillips, of Clinton, and Vivian Rose Stockton, of Clinton, and a brother Virgil Lee Smith, of Clinton, and 8 grandkids.
