Funeral Services for Verna Lou Driscoll, 100 year old, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday September 3, 2013 in the First Christian Church officiated by Jeff McDowell and Doyle Kinney and burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery southeast of Custer City under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. Verna Lou (Cabaniss) Driscoll was born June 13,1913 to Charley B. and Sallie B. (Brooks) Cabaniss northwest Custer County on Barnitz Creek and passed away Friday, August 30,2013 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. She was raised on the family farm and attended her primary grades of school at the 87th School District later was called Victory School. She transferred to Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1929. She married Mr. Roy Driscoll on April 11,1946 in Clinton. They made their home in Custer County and farmed their entire married life. She is a member of the First Christian Church; Custer County Farm Bureau Women's Committee member and officer for 50 plus years, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; she was active in her children's school activities, band booster and band parent; Custer City School Mothers Club. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, quilting, gardening and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters' infant Ruth Cabaniss, Alice Gossman, Nancy Lewis and Dewade Brooks, two brothers, Buford Cabaniss, and Charley Ellis Boyd Cabaniss. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Scott, Seminole, OK and a son, Keith Andrew Driscoll, Clinton; two grandchildren, Andy Scott and Sallie Hammons and four great-grandchildren, Ty Scott, Abbi Scott, Caden Nadeau and Kase Hammons
