Virginia Marie Jantz

July 12, 1941 — April 6, 2022

July 12, 1941–April 6, 2022 Virginia Marie Jantz,80, of Columbia, Missouri, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, following a brief illness. Virginia was born in Pismo Beach, California, on July 12, 1941, to Nina Marie Lee, housewife, and Alfred Ervin Schenewolf, welder. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1959 and then on April 11, 1964, Virginia married Eugene Ray Jantz at the Broadway Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, Oklahoma. Virginia’s fondest memories were of riding horses and rodeo in her youth, working at Midland Theater during her high school years, and a very special trip to California with her friend Ovada to see her brother Ervin. She worked for Dr. Winchester O.D. until she married. Gene and Virginia traveled with the line crew until 1965 when they moved back to Clinton to raise their family and later moved to Weatherford. After their divorce Virginia moved back to Clinton and was a data entry clerk for Collins and Aikman until her retirement. She then moved to Wyoming for a short time as she loved being close to her grandchildren. The next move was to Missouri to be close to Carl, Kathi, Logan, and Derek. She returned to work for several years at Pepsi Co/Frito Lay. She retired when her health started to decline. She enjoyed watching her grandson’s activities in Missouri and cheered from a far for the Wyoming grandkids. They were her greatest joy! She will be affectionately remembered for her love if sewing, cooking, crocheting and a great love of animals. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katherine (Cliff) Wilhelm of Lingle, Wyoming; her son, Carl (Katharine) Jantz of Columbia, Missouri; her seven grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Carly, Jesse, Jace, Logan, and Derek; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Alfreda (Billy) Wells, of Clinton, Oklahoma and many necessary and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Ervin Schenewolf; and her sister, Ruth Ann Wagner. Visitation....A service will be held at Kiesau Lee Funeral Home on Saturday April 16th at 10:00 am. With interment following the Clinton Cemetery. Buck Nicholson will be officiating.
