Memorial Services for Wanda Carolina (Martin) Moore, 98, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rick Robart and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Parkersburg Cemetery. She Died Sunday, August 4, 2019. Wanda was born on August 11, 1920 in Colony, Oklahoma to John and Maggie Emerson Martin. She married the late Tommy Moore on February 7, 1952 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Wanda was an adventurous, independent lady and was an inspiration to many. She enlisted in the Coast Guard during WWII and served for several years before marring Tommy. During their lives together, Tommy served in the U. S. Air Force and they traveled the world together. Wanda was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton until 2015 when she went to live at Angelwood Assisted Living in Clinton. She loved to volunteer and did so for many years with Meals on Wheels, Wear It Again, Birthday Bingo at the Nursing Home and serving the Methodist Church. Wanda also loved doing crossword puzzles even to her last days. Wanda is survived by her three children: Marty Moore and his wife Dixie of Ennis, Texas, Marsha Kobernus and her husband Rick of Norman, Oklahoma and Marilyn Deas and her husband Bill of Gainesville, Florida. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
