Graveside Services for Willard L. Green, 89, former Clinton resident will be held 1:30 P.M., Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Clinton Cemetery officiated by Rev. Roland Youngberg and under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Willard Lane Green was born October 10, 1924 to Fred Lane Green and Lena Lee (Smith) Green in Dunlap, TX and passed away June 14, 2014 in Bedford, TX. Willard was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1942. While attending high school he worked part time at the local Greyhound Bus Station. He enlisted in the U.S Army Air Corp December 7, 1942 serving during WWII achieving the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged on November 9, 1945. After his military discharge in 1945 he moved to Los Angeles, California to begin a career as ticket agent for Greyhound Bus, where he worked until his retirement in 1979. He then became a travel agent for Chase Travel. In 1995, Willard moved back to Oklahoma to be near family members. He then moved to Texas to live until his death on June 14, 2914. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Millard and Clayton Green and a sister Lawauna Hicks. He is survived by brothers, Clyde Green and wife, Becky, of North Richland Hills, TX, Royce Green, of Wichita, Kansas and Joe Green, of Oklahoma City, OK and two sisters, Frances Hoffman and husband, Carrol, of Clinton, OK and Barbara Bodenstein and husband, Ron, of Spring Dale, AR and two sisters in law, Lupe Green, of Oregon and Cecelia Green, of Duncan, OK. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The family wants to thank the employees of Grace Hospice who cared for Willard for the last four months. The family request that when you see a Veteran Thank them for serving in the United States Armed Forces.
