Funeral Services for Wilma C. Lantz will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday July 28, 2023 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Charlie Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery and under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home.
Wilma was born on her family farm on August 15, 1937 in Bessie, to William and Elsie (Weinberg) Borchers, and passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Wilma was raised in Bessie, and attended school in Clinton, graduating Clinton High School in 1955. For her to attend the functions associated with the school, she lived with her older brother Carl and his wife in Clinton while in High School. She married Loyde Lantz in Bessie on August 10, 1955, five days before her 18th birthday.
She traveled with her husband Loyde who was in the Air Force, until 1975 when her husband MSgt. Loyde Lantz retired. She worked at TG&Y, Curves, and after her husband passed suddenly in 1988, she became a cook at Washington elementary school, where she retired. She also loved to volunteer at the gift shop in the Clinton Hospital, until she had to quit in 2020 do to the Covid situation.
She enjoyed Quilting, traveling, square dancing, spending time with family and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loyde a sister Ester Schmidt, and three brothers Carl, August, and Paul Borchers.
She is survived by three daughters Cindy Whitaker and her husband Terry of Clinton, Sylvia Brown and her husband Bob of San Antonio, and Brenda Plumbtree of Edmond, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with three on the way.
