Funeral Services for Wynema Wright, 97, Butler resident and educator will be held 9:00 A.M., Friday, April 26, 2019 in the Butler Baptist Church, officiated by Terry Beals. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau- Lee Funeral Home. Wynema Wright was born October 24, 1921 to Earle McKeever and Ruby (Cole) McKeever in Booker, TX and passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton. Wynema was raised in Booker, Texas and graduated from Booker High School in 1939. She continued her education at the Pan Handle A&M College and completed her Master's degree at Southwestern State University. She taught school one year in Beaver, Oklahoma and two years in Bluff City, Kansas. After staying at home with her children for ten years, she taught at Butler Schools for 34 years. She met Lelan Wright while they were both at the Panhandle A&M College in 1941. He was in the Army Air Corp for four years and when he came home from the service they were married on October 20, 1946 in Sharon, Kansas. They made their first home in Tuttle, Oklahoma and in 1953 they moved to Butler, OK. She has been a member of the Butler Baptist Church since 1953 where she taught various Sunday school classes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lelan, daughter Judy, three brothers, Ivan McKeever, Wendell McKeever and Denny McKeever and a sister Louise Pearson. She is survived by son, Ronald Wright and his partner, Karen Richardson, Butler, OK; four grandchildren, Rob Gordon and wife Melissa, Butler, OK, Amy Loggins and husband, Charlie, Chickasha, OK, Mandy Fuller and husband, Roger, Mustang, OK and Jeremy Wright, Idabel, OK; six great grandchildren Robert Gordon, Judith Bymaster, Brandt Bymaster, Morgandy Haggard, Merrit Grace Fuller and Kirstin Wright and one great-great-granddaughter, Sutton Gordon. She is also survived by sister in law, Mary Lou McKeever, California. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Butler Baptist Church.
